JMW Turner, Dido building Carthage, or The Rise of the Carthaginian Empire , 1815 ديدو تبني قرطاج Dido building Carthage، أو بزوغ امبراطورية قرطاج The Rise of the Carthaginian Empire هي لوحة رسم بالزيت على كانڤاس، رسمها وليام ترنر . اللوحة هي واحدة من أهم أعمال ترنر، وتأثرت بشكل كبير بالمناظر الطبيعية الكلاسيكية المضاءة لـكلود لورين . ويصفها ترنر بأنها عمله الرئيسي chef d'oeuvre . وقد عرضت لأول مرة في المعرض الصيفي للأكاديمية الملكية في 1815، وقد احتفظ ترنر باللوحة حتى تركها للأمة في هبة ترنر . وقد احتـُفِظ بها في المعرض الوطني في لندن منذ 1856.
