فلسفة القانون يقصد بها عموما البحث في الموضوعات الأكثر عمومية في مجال القانون، وهي مجال واسع لبحث الموضوعات الأكثر أهمية في مجال القانون مثل أساس الإلزام في القانون و يقصد بذلك بحث مسألة العدل والعدالة وأغلب موضوعات مادة المدخل إلى القانون التى تدرس في السنة الأولى بكليات الحقوق في جامعات مصر تنتمى فعلا لمجال فلسفة القانون.
