The code while generating correct coordinates for clear display pre-June 2025 above zoom of 7 may need minor coordinate fine tuning after the implementation of the Lua module that was implemented then for {{OSM Location map}} and that provides faster processing and many more features. The call does not presently use more correct parameter logic like {{OSM_Himalaya}} which would be {{Karakoram OSM|lat_d=|long_d=|zoom=|height=|width=|float=}} where:

lat_d, long_d

center of map in decimal degrees

zoom

OSM zoom level (default=7, higher is more zoomed in)

height, width

height and width of map in pixels (300x185 default)

float

center, right, left position of map (center default)

The template has controlling logic based on the calling page as this is necessary for best rendering of counties and their flags. Additional controlling logic might also have a role for better rendering of numeric labels for OSM zoom levels less than 7 but this has not been implemented as mouse over (or touch) allows interactive identification of mountains.
